i got bo about 2-3 hours ago from pongmei, try chests near am fah, they from what ive gotten is about 4 dragon staffs 2 platinum staffs 3 bo staffs from about 1k chests

i wouldnt try shadows passage, seems to be a massive hotspot for core skins, if anything id go for chests near amfah

jugs are core drop, can drop from any chests in cantha much like katanas jitte etc

Ive gotten 3 Paper fans from Shadows passage, 2 purple, one gold.
This was over 1000+ keys, never got a bo staff though, ive always been under the impression they dont drop from chests

Definitely sticking to chest running pongmei.. majority of the stuff you get is rubbishy but every now & then something seriously rare drops. Just got a r9 soul reaping paper fan & r9 smite bo staff in 2 consecutive runs. Drops loads of runes & noticably none of them are ever sup vigors. ~_~

I was running Rhea's Crater yesterday evening & used about 150 lockpicks. Outcast shields are quite common, I got at least 4 drop. The problem was though that the chest stopped spawning after like 130lockpicks & I was resigning 4-5 times before the chest would spawn in the area again. So after a while it just get's really irritating.

Anyway if anyone wants to chest run with me in pongmei or whatever, whisp me on 'evil morning star'.

rheas i guess your considered lucky if u do average of 2-3 resigns per a chest, im averaging like 6 not so lucky on outcast shields either, also got a dragon staff yesterday at pongmei too bad it was crap.

I'm Looking for a Place in Cantha to get Oldschool Bo staffs, Bladed sheilds ect. I know there are Some that do Chest running Kinda often.

Was wondering if anybody has any Locations/Places they run in Cantha chest running? Maybe a Good Location, where to start and Route to Follow.
Hope its not too much to ask.

Been chest running nahpui quarter explorable.. it's pretty fast.. up to 2 chests can spawn near the am fah there. Getting nothing but core-skin rubbish though so not recommending it. Weird since wiki says am fah are what drop bo staves dragon staves etc. Maybe they are just zone specific.

Around Am Fah is best for bladed shield + bo staffs

Example from Senjis Corner to Nahpui Quarter exploable and run around the am fah. 1-3 chest in 2-3min aint bad

dragon staffs bos platinum all drop from jadebrotherhood & am fah chests, ive had drops from each, much more luck with am fah though

Ah thanks Very Much, I was told Noob Island in Factions was a Good place for Bladed, Bo staffs ect but i only seem to get Plaugeborn stuff and only 1 bladed with Terrible mods unfortunately

@Pleikki: So run from Senji corner to Nahpui Quarter near the Am Fah? Will i have to Go all around the Map or try and take a Long route to Nahpui Quarter through the Am Fah?

Hey guys I've been chest running in pongmei valley (from gyala hatchery to tanglewood corpse). The route I have been using (all credits go to Pleikki, thanks a lot!) is pretty good and I get 3-4 chests / run (which is like 2 mins?).

Anyways, I would like to find a kurzick area which could get me about as many chests in the same amount of time, because I would really like to get some kurz shields

in Pongmei Valley you get on average 1 chest every run, but I would like to get a couple more maybe.

Any suggestions?

There aint a kurzick area that can get 4-5 chests like Pongmei in the same time. Melandru's Hope is probably your best bet, it's piss easy to run but only like 2 chests that can drop echovald shields will spawn "usually". The dredge/warden chests etc will drop dredge runes, random gothic/amber trash & maybe if ur lucky GotH shield.

This is why Pongmei is the best run. You have chance of getting maybe 2 chests which can drop echovald shield like you want. And other chests can drop rare shiz like bo, dragon, plat staves. Also have chance of getting Embossed, Emblazened, Bladed & GotH etc. Paper fans & Jugs seem to drop alot too.

Anyway check page 32 there is some maps of chest run locations. And on page 36 some dude says running morostav trail is echovald country, but imho that run is solid on HM - on my warrior anyway.

(not directly putting the maps over existing textures, but rather using the paths provided on the maps)

i was after a bo staff for a bit as well, but I've found after much chestrunning and never getting one to drop that HM minister cho's estate on my 55 Mo/N have dropped the most gold bo staves - bladed shields drop there too quite often. I was running the outcast chest last night in rhea's crater and got 4 gold outcast staves (only two kept a 20/10 and 20/20), and 3 elite tomes in about 1.5 hours of continuous running. I noticed a spell where the chest spawned in the same area 5 times. But there were also sets of 3-4 non-spawn runs, luckily each run only takes about 30s! Night before, I hooked up with somebody from this thread and we ran pongmei and the vermin chests. It's nice to run with others sometimes, breaks the monotony and varies the runs a bit. I'm down if anyone ever wants to run together pretty much any of the following: pongmei, silent surf, rheas (outcast chest), xaquaang skyway (vermin), or hell even bukdek to mix it up. Yea dude outcast staffs drop all the time there. I often find myself with like 5-7 in my inventory before I vendor all the garbage drops. Got a decent-ish 20/20 r11 fire one drop 2days ago. Skin is okay but they aint worth nothing special.

I've been chest running Morostav Trail recently.. can normally get between 2/4 chests per run depending on spawn location. Takes like 2:30mins per run. Got 3 vs demons shields so far, only 1 was dual-mod though. Echovalds drop quite alot tbh.. I must say though that Amber Aegis/Guardian of the Hunt are bloody rare, only got 1 of each from 500-ish chests. Have had 3 paper fans drop though...

Do you have a map of the run. Kinda getting bored of running Pongmei over and over

Following the MTSC paths tends to yield good chest spawn rates in Morostav Trail.. At least from what I've seen.

Basically run out of vasburg armory & die (make sure you have more of the opposing faction that owns the town). You will res in the middle of the map near a necro boss (stone kirin), usually there is at least 1 chest right there - sometimes even 2.

From then on run to the east towards the ele boss arbor earthcaller usually there is a chest in this area. Then run towards unwaking waters - usually there is a chest near the plagueborn/wardens having a fight or near the warrior/rit bosses.

You get at least 1 chest per run, but I've had up to 4 many times before. I video'd it & 1 run takes literally 2:30mins. I might shove that video on youtube if it helps.

Make sure you have shadow form, feigned neutrality, shroud of distress & I am unstoppable. Give your heroes stuff like incoming & cant touch this etc. Just so you know I do it on a warrior so can tank the dmg quite well, if you're squishy it might be harder.

Edit: Make sure your heroes dont have res sigs so when you die you res straight away.

I've been trying the run for 2 days now. got succes on an amber aegis +10 vs demons, also some echovald shields and gothic shields dropped. Mainly from the chests close to the ress shrine. Also I just run to the ress shrine, there is a chance there are some chests on the way
